A Hurricane in Atlantic City

A hurricane swept through Atlantic city. It made a lot of damage: flooded streets, dirty and overturned buses, roofs torn off the houses, the boardwalk destroyed, fishermen's boats scattered everywhere along the seashore, trees lying in the streets. What's more, some animals escaped from the local zoo and the electricity turned off in the casinos. Some water got into the metro and washed off timetables.

Some days later... People walked in the streets and saw the mess. Everybody wanted the mess to be removed.

What exactly did everybody want?
  • The commuters wanted the metro timetables to be put back in their place.
  • The car owners wanted the parking lots to be cleaned of the fallen trees.
  • The fishermen wanted their boats to be found along the seashore.
  • The pedestrians wanted the boardwalk to be rebuilt.
  • The zoo keeper wanted the animals to be caught.
  • The citizens wanted the roofs of their houses to be repaired as soon as possible.
  • The bus drivers wanted their buses to be washed.
  • The gamblers wanted the games to be continued.
  • The casino owners wanted the lights to be fixed.
So the mayor of the city ordered the metro timetables to be put back, streets to be cleaned, boats to be found, electricity to be fixed, the boardwalk to be rebuilt, animals to be caught and roofs to be repaired.
